Trust Talk 4: Business Continuity after Covid-19

All these questions and more were addressed during the^4th edition of our Certi-Trust TRUST-TALK, with the participation of Mr René SAINT-GERMAIN, CEO Europe of Certi-Trust, Security and Business Continuity Auditor, and Mr Olivier LUXEREAU, Consultant in Information Security and Risk Management, under the moderation of Dr Omar BENAICHA, CEO of Certi-Trust Africa and Middle East.

After a brief introduction of the topic and the speakers by Dr. Omar Benaïcha, Mr. René Saint-Germain began his presentation with a definition of what business continuity actually is, and what this notion implies in the context of the operation of an SMCA supported by various business continuity plans depending on the type of crisis situation encountered by the organization. Mr. Saint-Germain concluded his presentation with a discussion of the direct and, above all, indirect impact of the pandemic on corporate strategies and resources.

Mr. Olivier Luxereau then presented the most notable effects of the Covid-19 pandemic on the economy, in terms of employment and labor market dynamics, on aspects directly linked to information security and its use by employees of organizations in these uncertain times, with a particular focus on the most appropriate measures for securing the workstations of company employees in the increasingly perennial context of remote working from home, in particular. To conclude, Mr Luxereau addressed the more general question of the emergence of Cybersecurity constraints for companies since, and especially immediately after, this unprecedented global health crisis.
