Asmaa Harti has held the position of Training Manager for the Certi-Trust group for over a year. In this interview, she talks about her career path and the challenges she encounters on a daily basis in her job, while evoking the advantages of the CTDL platform.

What is your professional background?
After a Master’s degree in Science specializing in Audit, Control and Finance in an international environment, I joined an accounting firm for an internal audit assignment. I then moved on to other assignments in auditing and accounting control. I also worked for a major local company as a General Accounting Manager. And after this experience, I joined a consulting firm for consulting and training assignments. During this last experience, I immediately realized that I have a real penchant for developing training content, transmitting knowledge and anything else related to the training field. From then on, I decided to make a career change, and to focus more on training.

What challenges do you face on a daily basis as Content and Training Manager?
Sometimes, I have to meet tight deadlines: there’s a training course that needs to be put into production within the timeframe demanded by the customer.
The diversification of tasks, from planning sessions, managing relationships with trainers and candidates, designing and developing certain training content, producing deliverables, managing and resetting access to the CTDL platform, to demoing the platform for potential customers, means that we sometimes get lost in this diversity. You have to manage both the content and the container. But with the right organization and rigorous planning, you can rise to the challenge and produce quality content while meeting the various requirements.

In your opinion, what are the advantages of the CTDL digital learning platform?
Here are just a few of the advantages:
- Ease of use
- Interactivity
- Closeness to the trainer, as it includes a forum. The trainer can also evaluate learners through exercises and case studies, and keep track of each candidate’s progress.
- An excellent tool for preparing for the certification exam, it includes a mock exam in the same format as the certification exam. and places the candidate in the same conditions as the latter.

How can learners benefit from a better learning experience on this platform?
They need to be persistent, and tackle every part of the training. A simple overview of the course is not enough. You’ll also need to combine theory and practice. The interactive exercises, case studies and mock exams have been well thought out and designed to meet these expectations.

After more than a year in the business, what advice can you give to people who want to enter the profession?
I’d say perseverance pays off in the end. Perseverance is the only way to succeed. You also need to be a good communicator, have good interpersonal skills and enjoy passing on your knowledge.
Good organization is also a major asset in successfully carrying out its various missions.
