Did you know that Certi-Trust is involved in the pilot phase of the PVID program “Prestataire de Vérification d’Identité à Distance” (Remote Identity Verification Provider) run byANSSI – France’snational agency for information systems security? 
PVID has been developed to counter the risk of identity theft and ensure, both remotely and face-to-face, that the identity document presented by the user is genuine and that the user is the rightful holder. To this end, PVID introduces a set of recommendations to be applied during Remote Identification.
Ultimately, the application of these standards should enable :
– Certification of organizations to combat money laundering and terrorist financing 
– Qualifying trust services using remote identity verification 
– Certification of electronic identification systems using remote identity verification in a high-security environment 
The program’s requirements cover both the service provider and the security of the information system it operates, and aim to create a robust service offering that adequately meets the need for confidence among users, sponsors and regulators.
